| Abstract: | Addresses technical aspects of field sampling of very sparse polar desert vegetation. In addition to determining minimum area necessary for accurate sampling of polar desert stands of central Ellesmere Island, presents new modified cover-abundance scale allowing more expedient cover estimate than could be obtained by standard quadrat technique. |
