Record #138230:

Late Quaternary sea level history in the Paulatuk to Bathurst Inlet area, Northwest Territories / Daniel E. Kerr.

Title: Late Quaternary sea level history in the Paulatuk to Bathurst Inlet area, Northwest Territories / Daniel E. Kerr.
Author(s): Kerr, Daniel E.
Date: 1996.
In: Canadian Journal of Earth Sciences. (1996.), Vol. 33(3) (1996)
Abstract: Describes new relative sea level data based on regional stratigraphic and geomosrphological studies. Presents deglacial sequence of regional ice-front positions based on geomosrphologic, stratigraphic and radiocarbon data. Constructs provisional relative sea level curves from regions subject to range of increasingly greater continental ice loading over distance of 1000 km. Discusses glacioisostatic implications of these curves. Integrates study on regional basis, including comparison of emergence rates from earlier investigations within study area aand from other regions in central Canadian Arctic.
