Record #137997:

Life-cycle and morph production in the Arctic aphid Acyrthosiphon brevicorne / A.T. Strathdee, J.S. Bale.

Title: Life-cycle and morph production in the Arctic aphid Acyrthosiphon brevicorne / A.T. Strathdee, J.S. Bale.
Author(s): Strathdee, A. T.
Bale, J. S.
Date: 1996.
In: Polar Biology. (1996.), Vol. 16(4) (1996)
Abstract: Life-cycle of Dryas-feeding aphid is shown to be between that of high-Arctic aphid A. svalbardicum and typical holocyclic, monoecious, temperate species. Fundatrix can give rise directly to both sexual morphs, necessary in short Arctic summer. Production of males is predetermined. That of oviparae is controlled, at least in part, by photoperiod.
