| Abstract: | Describes evidence for rapid subsidence of cobble spit in Verdant Cove within Ailik Bay on south-eastern Kenai Peninsula. Correlates this event with other palaeoseismic records from southern Alaska to suggest that it represents last great earthquake of region previous to 1964 earthquake. |
