Title: | Visual ethnography and representation: two case studies in the Arctic / Mark Orlen Badger. |

Date: | 1995. |
Abstract: | Describes and analyzes two experimental visual ethnographies: study of spiritual beliefs of Koyukon Athabascans of Interior Alaska, and community study among Khanty (Ob Ostyaks) of western Siberia. Both projects were exercises in collaborative film-making between film-maker, anthropologist, and subject with the aim of accurate and insightful cultural representation.
