| Abstract: | Presents preliminary results of analysis of sediment cores from South Atlantic and Bransfield Strait. Describes glacial-interglacial pulses of Late Pleistocene based on dynamics of ocean-atmosphere system; ice-volume; sea level; CO₂ concentration in ocean-atmosphere system; global or local productivity; and calcite compensation depth. Analyses evolution of benthic and planktonic communities, and biochemical and sedimentary data of surface and deep water masses, and discusses dynamics of Antarctic Bottom Water and Antarctic Intermediate Water, and relationship to North Atlantic deep waters. |
