Effects of ice blockage size and proximity on propeller performance during non-contact propeller-ice interaction / Luksa Luznik, Dan Walker, Neil Bose, Stephen J. Jones.

Title: Effects of ice blockage size and proximity on propeller performance during non-contact propeller-ice interaction / Luksa Luznik, Dan Walker, Neil Bose, Stephen J. Jones.
Author(s): Luznik, Luksa.
Walker, Dan.
Bose, Neil.
Jones, Stephen J.
Date: 1995.
Publisher: USA: American Society of Mechanical Engineers
In: OMAE 1995. Proceedings of the 14th International Conference on Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering, June 18-22 1995, Copenhagen, Denmark. Volume IV - Arctic/Polar Technology. (1995.),
Abstract: Tests conducted on model of ice-class fixed-pitch propeller of Canadian Coast Guard's R-Class icebreaker showed blockage resulted in increased levels of mean load at all but highest advance coefficients.
