Englacial and proglacial glaciotectonic processes at the snout of a thermally complex glacier in Svalbard / Michael J. Hambrey, David Huddart.
Title: | Englacial and proglacial glaciotectonic processes at the snout of a thermally complex glacier in Svalbard / Michael J. Hambrey, David Huddart. |
Author(s): | Hambrey, Michael J. Huddart, David. |
Date: | 1995. |
In: | Journal of Quaternary Science : JQS. (1995.), Vol. 10(4) (1995) |
Abstract: | Uversbreen in northwest Spitsbergen has a 50m high push moraine which is almost entirely a product of tectonic processes, especially thrusting, that occured in the snout of the glacier and in the frozen sediments in front. These structures and the processes that produced them are discussed. |
