Abstract: | Four observations were made: towns differ fundamentally from settlements, which have few realistic alternatives; top 20 salmon fishers caught 58% of catch; stocks, being biological, are uncertain; Greenlanders have long used variety of marine resources. Future possibilities are: sea urchins, sharks, lumpfish, scientific work, quality seal skins, custom made kayaks, adventure and ecotourism. |
