Record #135694:

Nickel-copper exploration along the extension of the Pechenga Zone in Pasvik, Norway / Daryl J. Hodges.

Title: Nickel-copper exploration along the extension of the Pechenga Zone in Pasvik, Norway / Daryl J. Hodges.
Author(s): Hodges, Daryl J.
Date: 1995.
Publisher: Trondheim, Norway: Geological Survey of Norway
In: Geology of the Eastern Finnmark - Western Kola Peninsula Region. (1995.),
Abstract: Mineralization was first reported at start of century, with first significant finds in 1920s. Production started in 1940s and continues. Surveys were unproductive until 1988 cooperation with Russia created better understanding of geological setting. Focussed exploration then showed that bodies at Pasvik never reached high enough sulphur saturation to precipitate economic amounts of nickel or copper.
