Abstract: Ages of successions, similarity of facies and proximity of peninsulas suggest that sediments accumulated in same basin or closely related ones in Neoproterozoic time. Deformation is analyzed from two viewpoints. Caledonian deformation and low metamorphism in western Varanger is believed to be part of Scandian orogeny, but on Rybachi and Sredni age seems to be Vendian, equating with Baikalian orogeny.
