Record #135611:

Effects of frost on the female flowers, unripe fruits and vegetative growth of the cloudberry (Rubus chamaemorus) in Finnish Lapland / Jouko Kortesharju.

Title: Effects of frost on the female flowers, unripe fruits and vegetative growth of the cloudberry (Rubus chamaemorus) in Finnish Lapland / Jouko Kortesharju.
Author(s): Kortesharju, Jouko.
Date: 1995.
In: Aquilo. Series Botanica. (1995.), Vol. 35 (1995)
Abstract: Regular damage by frost in various trials was examined to trace exact limits. Female flowers proved to be unexpectedly sensitive, even at temperatures of 0 to -1°C. Hardiness improved during ripening and most nearly ripe fruit could stand -3 - -4°C. Hard frost destroying most leaves led to increase in following year, but marked decrease in flowers.
