Abstract: | Caledonian low-temperature, high-pressure metamorphic rocks, first recognised at Motalafjella, include characteristic brown dolostone and serpentinite. Similar rocks are scattered along sand flats and along local faults. Rocks contain high contents of MgO in carbonates and Cr₂O₃ in oxides. They seem to extend up to 50 km NNW from Motalafjella. |
