Record #135521:
The predictability of the spatial distribution of Guillemots (Uria spp.) in the Barents Sea / Per Fauchald, Kjell Einar Erikstad.
Title: | The predictability of the spatial distribution of Guillemots (Uria spp.) in the Barents Sea / Per Fauchald, Kjell Einar Erikstad. |
Author(s): | Fauchald, Per. Erikstad, Kjell Einar. |
Date: | 1995. |
In: | Norsk Polarinstitutt. Meddelelser. (1995.), Vol. 135 (1995) |
Abstract: | Seabirds generally have patchy distribution, so vulnerability to oil spills is patchy. Study examines predictability of wintering guillemots from 9-year period. Spearman rank correlation was used. Even for large scales only low predictabilities were found, probability because of variation in Capelin distribution. |
