Abstract: Author carried out genetic part of two-year research programme on Faeroese grind. He was alerted to 15 drives, but could reach only two kills. He took 3500 samples and much written background. Pods seem to be of close relatives, with mating taking place between different pods. He found cultural aspect acceptable in islands with very little food variety.
