Changement climatique et ski sur glacier en Suisse / Bruno Abegg, Urs König, Max Maisch.

Translated title: | Climate change and glacier skiing in Switzerland. |

In: | Cahiers de Géographie du Québec. (1995.), Vol. 39(108) (1995) |
Abstract: | A survey of glacier skiing since 1980 is presented. In snow-deficient winters the start of the skiing season is limited to glaciers. If the future snowline is at a higher altitude, the majority of mid-season skiing will be on mountain ranges with resulting increases in transport requirements. The economic base of resorts at lower altitudes may also be affected. |
