Abstract: Article describes various devices for measuring snow drift, culminating in his own multi-directional one, effective albeit "rustique". Improvements would include ability to read it remotely from base. As for prediction, he has found from 151 experiments in 15 gullies that direction of drift has predictive value for artificially induced avalanches in his sector. Such data can be used to improve performance of models.
