Abstract: Preparation procedures as well as ordinary use cause changes in appearance of Inuit skin clothing. This study describes analyses of fatty acid distribution and shrinkage temperature in series of items of Inuit origin collected on this expedition and compares their current state with samples from skins found in mummy burial ground in Qilakitsoq, Greenland.
