| Abstract: | This atlas displays, via colour maps, a subset of of results from Global Climate Models (GCMs) undertaken as part of the Model Evaluation Consortium for Climate Assessment (MECCA). All simulations were conducted in 1991 or 1992. Four main variables are considered: surface temperature, precipitation, snow-cover and sea ice extent. For these latter two variables most models agree for Antarctica and Greenland, the marginal areas exhibit much less agreement. |
