Record #134861:

Thermal parameters in rock units of the Winter Lake - Lac de Gras area, central Slave Province, Northwest Territories - implications for diamond genesis / P.H. Thompson, Alan S. Judge, T.J. Lewis.

Title: Thermal parameters in rock units of the Winter Lake - Lac de Gras area, central Slave Province, Northwest Territories - implications for diamond genesis / P.H. Thompson, Alan S. Judge, T.J. Lewis.
Author(s): Thompson, P. H.
Judge, Alan S.
Lewis, T. J.
Date: 1995.
In: Geological Survey of Canada. Current Research. (1995.), Part E (1995)
Abstract: Use of simple conductive thermal model with assumption that lithosphere/asthenosphere boundary is thermal feature (1300°C) suggests that decreasing heat production in crust can account for transition from barren lithosphere less than 100km thick at end of Archaean to diamond-bearing lithosphere 200-255km thick today.
