Abstract: Considers legal basis of federal relationship between Respublika Sakha and Russian Federation. Examines constitutional documents and their mutual contradictions through discussion of autonomy, sovereignty, separatism and disintegration. Considers interdependence between federal and local governments under current processes of power devolution. In conclusion considers possible options for future relationship between Sakha and Russian Federation.
