Record #134393:
Solar irradiance, air pollution and temperature changes in the Arctic / Gerrald Stanhill.
Title: | Solar irradiance, air pollution and temperature changes in the Arctic / Gerrald Stanhill. |
Author(s): | Stanhill, Gerrald. |
Date: | 1995. |
Abstract: | Reports highly significant decline in annual sums og global irradiance reaching surface of Arctic, averaging 0.36 W m⁻² per year, derived from analysis of 389 complete years of measurement, beginning at 1950, at 22 pyranometer stations within Arctic Circle. Similar decline observed in Antarctic. Discusses possible causes and their consequences for temperature change. Paper presented at Discussion Meeting on Arctic and Environmental Change held at Royal Society, London, 12-13 October, 1994. |
Notes: | Offprint: Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London. Series A. Vol. 352(1699) :247-258. |
