Record #133971:

Norsk fangst og undersøkelse av sel i 1994 / Torger Øritsland.

Title: Norsk fangst og undersøkelse av sel i 1994 / Torger Øritsland.
Translated title: Norwegian catches and investigations of seals in 1994.
Author(s): Øritsland, Torger.
Date: 1995.
Language: Norwegian.
In: Fisken og Havet. (1995.), Vol. 3 (1995)
Abstract: Four Norwegian vessels caught 17621 harp and 492 hooded seals in Greenland Sea and Barents Sea in 1994. Marine mammal research programme ended in international symposium, with presentations on studies of seals including assessments, biology, ecology, energetics, parasites, contaminants and interactions with fisheries. Tagged seals show that harp seals from White Sea may disperse over very extent of North Atlantic. A Method was developed for assessing grey seal pup production at Froan and they were also tagged in Finnmark, while common seals were tagged on mainland and on Svalbard.
