Title: | Distribution and abundance of Canadian polar bear populations: a management perspective / Mitchell K. Taylor, John Lee. |
Author(s): | Taylor, Mitchell K. Lee, John. |
Date: | 1995. |
In: | Arctic. (1995.), Vol. 48(2) (1995) |
Abstract: | Examines geographic boundaries of 12 populations of Ursus maritimus within or shared with Canada, to list population estimates available for these subgroups, to provide estimate of area of sea ice habitat used by bears in these populations, and thereby to estimate population density of each subgroup. Also considers aspects of existing data which may distort current perceptions of population numbers and spatial units. |
Notes: | Arctic. Vol. 48(2) :147-154 (1995). |
