Record #133843:

Satellite remote sensing of polar snow and ice: present status and future directions / Robert Massom.

Title: Satellite remote sensing of polar snow and ice: present status and future directions / Robert Massom.
Author(s): Massom, Robert.
Date: 1995.
In: Polar Record. (1995.), Vol. 31(177) (1995)
Abstract: Reviews current relevant satellite sensors and evaluates future developments to determine how these may lead to improved retrievals of key parameters. Sensors to be launched on planned satellite platforms include both improved versions of existing sensors (e.g. MODIS) and new classes of sensors (e.g. imaging spectrometers and laser rangers/altimeters) applied to polar remote sensing for first time.
Notes:

Polar Record. Vol. 31(177) :99-114 (1995).

Keywords: 53.087.23 -- Remote sensing.
551.32 -- Glaciology.
E3 -- Glaciology: instruments and methods.
(*3) -- Arctic regions.
(*7) -- Antarctic regions.
