Record #133836:

Factors limiting the distribution of Acyrthosiphon svalbardicum (Hemiptera: Aphididae) on Spitsbergen / A.T. Strathdee, J.S. Bale.

Title: Factors limiting the distribution of Acyrthosiphon svalbardicum (Hemiptera: Aphididae) on Spitsbergen / A.T. Strathdee, J.S. Bale.
Author(s): Strathdee, A. T.
Bale, J. S.
Date: 1995.
In: Polar Biology. (1995.), Vol. 15(5) (1995)
Abstract: Presents observations showing this high Arctic aphid to have probability of site occupancy increasing with distance from fjord mouth and decreasing with distance from shore. Sites from which snow cleared early also more likely to be occupied. Authors suggest that local distribution is determined by summer thermal conditions.
