Abstract: Identifies and describes seven regional anomalies in landscape cover of tree and upland tundra vegetation with reference to topoclimate, edaphic controls, and bioclimatic feedback. Prominent anomalies include Thelon River tree oasis, great breadth of southeastern forest-tundra, and southward plunge of forest-tundra north of Great Slave Lake.
