| Abstract: | Thesis contains results from lithostratigraphic research in Jameson Land and Finnmarksvidda which were affected by fluctuations of two ice sheets during Late Pleistocene: Greenland and Fennoscandian ice sheets. Five papers used are: Late Pleistocene glacial-deglacial facies successions and geologic history at Vuolgamasjåkka, Finnmarksvidda; Lower Jyllandselv succession: evidence for three Weichselian ice advances over coastal Jameson Land; Eemian and Weichselian stratigraphy of Langelandselv area, coastal Jameson Land; Cyclic changes in sedimentary environment during last interglacial/glacial cycle, coastal Jameson Land; and Late Quaternary glacial history of central west coast of Jameson Land. |
