| Abstract: | Centre was set up in 1994 to study among others nature of East Greenland petrology and offshore strata, facing new ocean bed, of mid-Atlantic Ridge and its predecessors, over last 6 million years. Data obtained will help to calculate energy aspect of continental drift. "JOIDES Resolution" has contributed vital information to project. Side effect may be better knowledge of oil and mineral deposits. |
