| Abstract: | Authors detail themes, with some analyses of their possible interaction, and wonder how much of Laestadian and other, later revivals among Norwegians or Kvener was to do with affirmation of under-class or depressed nationality. Political activity included considerable increase in proportion voting in national elections and protests against damaging effect of purse-seining. Campaigns for poor by Alfred Eriksen are described and organized attempts to save fish prices. Saami affairs and political groups are followed, including foreign links and Alta affair. |
