Record #131836:

Buksefjorden hydro power scheme, Greenland. Permafrost studies for extension 2 / Henrik Nørrelund Mai, Mads Bo Bojesen.

Title: Buksefjorden hydro power scheme, Greenland. Permafrost studies for extension 2 / Henrik Nørrelund Mai, Mads Bo Bojesen.
Author(s): Mai, Henrik Nørrelund.
Bojesen, Mads Bo.
Date: 1994.
Publisher: Luleå: Danish Polar Center
In: PolarTech '94. International Conference on Development and Commercial Utilization of Technologies in Polar Regions, March 22-25 1994. Luleå, Sweden. Proceedings. (1994.),
Abstract: First hydroelectric power station in Greenland, 30 MW, was commissioned in 1993. 70 MW extension is now planned, using finite element model for steady temperature regime in rock. Results show permafrost down to 200 m but tunnel, penstock and future power station can be located below 0°-isotherm.
