Abstract: In these valleys western slopes have dense vegetation cover, while eastern slopes are often devoid of soil. Degree of organic matter decomposition is low. Soils have features of both regosols and histosols. Vegetation changes with height from mosses and some vasculars to grasses and Cardamine nymani on western slopes.
