Abstract: Presents results obtained during 1989-93 from study evaluating effects of Exxon Valdez oil spill on coastal population of Ursus arctos. Investigates hypothesis that different rates of harvest in three brown bear populations will result in different population structure, density, survival rates and recruitment.
