Lake Boksehandsken's earliest postglacial sediments and their palaeo- environmental implications, Jameson Land, East Greenland / S. Björck, O. Bennike, Ó. Ingólfsson, L. Barnekow, David N. Penney.

Title: Lake Boksehandsken's earliest postglacial sediments and their palaeo- environmental implications, Jameson Land, East Greenland / S. Björck, O. Bennike, Ó. Ingólfsson, L. Barnekow, David N. Penney.

Penney, David N.
Date: 1994.
In: Boreas. (1994.), Vol. 23(4) (1994)
Abstract: Largest lake on Jameson Land has long and complex stratigraphy. It was analysed for lithology, carbon content, ¹⁴C and fossils. Deposits are taken as formed near receding ice margin in glaciomarine environment. ¹⁴C datings, though many, contain obvious redeposited plant remains. Phases of isolation from sea and of reclaim are dated.
