Record #131395:
Eemian-Weichselian stratigraphy of the Flakkerhuk ridge, southern Jameson Land, East Greenland / Jan Tveranger, Michael Houmark-Nielsen, Kit Løvberg, Jan Mangerud.
Title: | Eemian-Weichselian stratigraphy of the Flakkerhuk ridge, southern Jameson Land, East Greenland / Jan Tveranger, Michael Houmark-Nielsen, Kit Løvberg, Jan Mangerud. |
Author(s): | Tveranger, Jan. Houmark-Nielsen, Michael. Løvberg, Kit. Mangerud, Jan. |
Date: | 1994. |
In: | Boreas. (1994.), Vol. 23(4) (1994) |
Abstract: | Coast-parallel Flakkerhuk ridge showed succession of four marine formations separated by tills and glaciotectonic deformation zones representing glacier advances. Palaeontological evidence supported by luminescence datings indicates that deposition took place during Eemian and Early Weichselian. Other evidence and suppositions are given in detail, including glacier advances to coast and nature of ridge itself. |
Notes: | Boreas. Vol. 23(4) :359-384 (1994). |
