Abstract: Three chapters with English abstracts: thermal characteristic of groups and macrotypes of atmospheric circulation in the Atlantic region of the Arctic over the period 1951-1990; meteorological conditions in the Kaffiöyra region (NW Spitsbergen) and discharge of North Waldemar Stream; synoptic conditions of the occurrence of the highest and lowest daily mean air temperatures at the Arktowski Station 1988-1989. Other chapters are: on icebergs as a threat to navigation - comparative study for Arctic and Antarctic seas; model of climatic conditions in region of South Shetland Island; the relations between cloudiness and sunshine duration at Arctowski Station; measurement of global radiation at Arktowski Station in 1980; atmospheric precipitation at Arktowski Station; environment of fjords and lagoons of South Shetland Islands; a mechanism of functioning of thermal abrasion in below-zero temperature of sea water; contemporary changes of atmospheric circulation over North Atlantic and Europe; local atmospheric circulation in the region of North Atlantic; climatic seasons at Björnöya in the light of yearly structure of weather types; climatic conditions in the northern Polar zone and variation of Baltic Sea ice cover; streams of emission of sea aerosol in the region of Spitsbergen Shelf; evolution of Erdmannbreen marginal zone over the years 1986-1993 (West Spitsbergen)
