Record #131238:

Regional and seasonal variability in the vertical distribution of meso-zooplankton in the Greenland Sea / Claudio Richter.

Title: Regional and seasonal variability in the vertical distribution of meso-zooplankton in the Greenland Sea / Claudio Richter.
Author(s): Richter, Claudio.
Date: 1994.
In: Berichte zur Polarforschung = Reports on Polar Research. (1994.), Vol. 154 (1994)
Abstract: Regional and seasonal zoo-plankton investigation was carried out down to 3000 m depth. It focussed on composition and vertical distribution in relation to hydrographic regime and in time. Regional study comprised transect along 75°N in Nov. 1988 in domains of West Spitsbergen Current and Arctic domain of Greenland Sea Gyre(GSG). Seasonal study was of GSG in five seasons. Biomass maximum was only briefly at surface and mainly in subsurface. Depth was main factor shaping community. Actual species concerned and their patterns are discussed. GSG seems very stable.
