Record #130477:

On the links between microwave and solar wavelength interactions with snow-covered first-year sea ice / David G. Barber, Ellsworth F. LeDrew.

Title: On the links between microwave and solar wavelength interactions with snow-covered first-year sea ice / David G. Barber, Ellsworth F. LeDrew.
Author(s): Barber, David G.
LeDrew, Ellsworth F.
Date: 1994.
In: Arctic. (1994.), Vol. 47(3) (1994)
Abstract: For this study, statistical relationships are computed which link modelled average backscattering coefficient to observed daily averaged integrated climatological albedo and subsnow photosynthetically active radiation (PAR). Geophysical variables required to drive microwave scattering models were collected during Seasonal Sea Ice Monitoring and Nodeling Site (SIMMS) experiment in 1991. Observations of climatological shortwave and transmitted PAR frequencies were cordinated temporally and spatially with geophysical sampling.
