| Abstract: | Creation of small artificial lake partly flooded dried-up palsa bog. Effects of changed hydrological conditions on five palsas were monitored for 5 years. All increased in height. Core through one showed that, while it was formed by segregation ice, observed height increases were caused by addition of layer of pure ice. |
