Record #130360:

Surface-based radar: coherent / Simon Haykin, Brian W. Currie, Vitas Kezys.

Title: Surface-based radar: coherent / Simon Haykin, Brian W. Currie, Vitas Kezys.
Author(s): Haykin, Simon.
Currie, Brian W.
Kezys, Vitas.
Date: 1994.
Publisher: New York: John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
In: Remote sensing of sea ice and icebergs. (1994.),
Abstract: Explains advantages of coherent marine radars which offer greater separation between desired signal and unwanted interference. In addition to amplitude, electromagnetic signal has properties of frequency, phase and polarization, which can be combined with temporal and spatial processing to provide improved performance. Experimental IPIX radar system is described and is used in field experiment. Close agreement found between theoretical and experimental results.
Notes:

In: Remote sensing of sea ice and icebergs / Simon Haykin, Edward O. Lewis, R. Keith Raney, James R. Rossiter, [eds.].
