Record #130353:

Properties of snow and ice / Edward O. Lewis, Charles E. Livingstone, Caren Garrity, James R. Rossiter.

Title: Properties of snow and ice / Edward O. Lewis, Charles E. Livingstone, Caren Garrity, James R. Rossiter.
Author(s): Lewis, Edward O.
Livingstone, Charles E.
Garrity, Caren.
Rossiter, James R.
Date: 1994.
Publisher: New York: John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
In: Remote sensing of sea ice and icebergs. (1994.),
Abstract: Describes physical properties of sea ice, glacial ice (with reference to origin of icebergs), and snow, which overlies sea ice, in order to summarize these for readers who may not be familiar with them, and to discuss those properties which have have largest influence on remote sensing of sea ice. Distinguishes between behaviour of Arctic and Antarctic ice and snow, and describes their electromagnetic properties and radar signatures. Lists over 100 references.
Notes:
