Record #130279:
Derived constituents in the glacial sediments of the Vestfold Hills, east Antarctica / Damian B. Gore, Eric A. Colhoun, K. Bell.
Title: | Derived constituents in the glacial sediments of the Vestfold Hills, east Antarctica / Damian B. Gore, Eric A. Colhoun, K. Bell. |
Author(s): | Gore, Damian B. Colhoun, Eric A. Bell, K. |
Date: | 1994. |
In: | Quaternary Science Reviews. (1994.), Vol. 13(3) (1994) |
Abstract: | Sediment derived from pre-existing marine deposits and weathered surfaces is common constituent of glacial drift in these hills. Examination of sediments suggests that last advance of ice derived much of its sediment locally. Incorporation of marine fauna in deposits makes identification of interglacial sequences difficult. |
