Abstract: Reports radiographic analysis of human long bones from two Kachemak tradition sites on Kodiak Island. Harris lines (bands of increased bone density forming after recovery from arrested bone growth) found in multiple skeletal elements from numerous individuals. Authors argue that foragers wer frequently faced by food shortages.
