Abstract: Reports results of excavations of at least 35 individuals from site near Eskimo Lakes, Northwest Territories. Bodies show evidence of five forms of violent trauma indicating torture, mutilation, murder and cannibalism. Local oral tradition confirms existence of hostility between Inuit and Amerindians.
