| Abstract: | Presents assessment of Lower Palaeozoic samples from island between Bathurst and Cornwallis islands, for hydrocarbon source rock potential, thermal maturity and palaeoenvironment using Rock-Eval pyrolysis, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and incident light microscopy. Upper Silurian Cape Phillips Formation and Lower Devonian Disappointment Bay Formation both offer good source rock potential. |
