Abstract: | First visit in 1914 created burning desire to return. Chatty account of many details of author's patients and their gratitude. She practised in and out of doors, on ships and up and down coast. Greenlanders were treated free, but usually gave gifts or services in return. One rowed 3 (Danish?) miles three times without treatment, before she took pity on him despite very late hour, to fit him in. Author learnt to kayak. Table give statistics of dental caries in 1208 Greenlanders. Visit seems to have lasted 1 year, though dates given do not fit. |
