| Abstract: | Author describes prospects of Barents Sea, boundary issue with Norway in western part, possible new cooperation and onshore oil and gas resources. He considers upstream problems for pipeline construction in overlapping control at different administrative levels in Russia and position of Russian Navy and of foreign companies. He concludes that against this background and that of vast experience of Western oil companies, it would be unnatural to bring Barents Region into decisions about major industrial projects in this field. |
