Abstract: These glaciers occur in region from west Kunlun mountains to west Qilian mountains, where equilibrium line altitude is high, ranging from 4800 m a.s.l. on Laohugou glacier no.12 (Qilian mountains) to 5930 m a.s.l. on Chongce ice cap (west Kunlun mountains). Climate is arid and cold. Reports observations on temperature and precipitation, based on field work in 1985-1987 and 1990-1992.
