Lecanora leptacinella, Lecidea polytrichina und Lecidea polytrichenella spec. nova, drei an acidophile Moose gebundene Flechten von arktisch(-alpin)er Verbreitung / Walter Obermayer, Josef Poelt.

Title: Lecanora leptacinella, Lecidea polytrichina und Lecidea polytrichenella spec. nova, drei an acidophile Moose gebundene Flechten von arktisch(-alpin)er Verbreitung / Walter Obermayer, Josef Poelt.
Translated title: Lecanora leptacinella, Lecidea polytrichina and Lecidea polytrichenella spec. nova, three lichens parasitic on moss of Arctic (Alpine) distribution.
Author(s): Obermayer, Walter.
Poelt, Josef.
Date: 1994.
Language: German.
In: Acta Botanica Fennica. (1994.), Vol. 150 (1994)
Abstract: Lecanora leptacinella Nyl. in Norrl. (non Harm.) and Lecidea polytrichina Hertel (syn. Lecanora p. (Th.Fr.) Vain.) mainly parasitise Polytrichum spp. and Racomitrium lanuginosum (Hedw.) Brid. resp. Contrary to other mosses attacked by lichens, these bryophytes have rather loose, caespitose habit, which forces lichens to colonise each leaf separately, overgrowing both upper and lower surface. Cell walls of host swell up, bleach out and almost disappear. Lecidea polytrichinella Hertel, Obermayer and Poelt, which shows quite similar ecology and distribution, is described as new.
