Record #129179:

Effect of cold regions climate on composite jacketed concrete columns / V.M. Karbhari, D.A. Eckel, II.

Title: Effect of cold regions climate on composite jacketed concrete columns / V.M. Karbhari, D.A. Eckel, II.
Author(s): Karbhari, V. M.
Eckel, D. A.,
Date: 1994.
In: Journal of Cold Regions Engineering. (1994.), Vol. 8(3) (1994)
Abstract: Investigates effect of three different composite jackets subjected to both ambient (73°F) and -17.8°C (0°F) environments on strengthening efficiency of concrete stub elements. Compressive strength and rigidity of both glass- and carbon-fibre reinforced composite wraps observed to increase as temperature decreases.
Notes:

Keywords: 62(211) -- Engineering in cold regions.
M -- Engineering and construction.
(*2) -- Polar regions.
